Today we have received this week’s new releases:

Mystic Vale is the new card game from AEG (release late July/early August):
A curse has been placed on the Valley of Life. Hearing the spirits of nature cry out for aid, clans of druids have arrived, determined to use their blessings to heal the land and rescue the spirits. It will require courage and also caution, as the curse can overwhelm the careless who wield too much power.
In Mystic Vale, 2 to 4 players take on the role of druidic clans trying to cleanse the curse upon the land. Each turn, you play cards into your field to gain powerful advancements and useful vale cards. Use your power wisely, or decay will end your turn prematurely. Score the most victory points to win the game!
Mystic Vale uses the innovative “Card Crafting System”, which lets you not only build your deck, but build the individual cards in your deck, customizing each card’s abilities to exactly the strategy you want to follow.
It looks like it will add an interesting twist to the usual deck building mechanism: instead of just building your deck you are also building your cards. The photo explains a little bit more how this will work.
I’m definitely interested in this, because some of the card games on iOS or Android have tried this or something similar and it adds quite a lot to a normal deck building game.
We have added a few games to our Pre-Order section:
- Airfix Battles (introductory World War II battle game that can be played with Airfix models / release date: end of May)
- Tanks: Panther vs Sherman (small scale tank battle game / release date: end of May)
- 51st State: Master Set (redesigned edition of 51st State including the base set and two expansions / release date: end of May-early June)
- Legendary: Civil War (the fourth big box expansion for Marvel Legendary / release date: July)
- Mystic Vale (card crafting game from AEG: your are not only building your decks, your are also building your cards / release date: July)
Today we received some large boxes with lots of new games.
