Waste Knights review from 2d6.org

The board gaming blog 2d6 has posted an extensive (written review) of Waste Knights:

Waste Knights is a brutal yet colorful post-apocalyptic vision that’s two parts Max Rockatansky one part Fallout by Bethesda software. The two are shaken together and splashed across a tabletop jammed packed with hexes, tokens, and cards. The production is visually sincere and pleasant as hell on the eyes. Everything from the small sized item cards to the hex illustrations and the character’s portraits align with this razor edge vision of the world gone sideways, yet it manages to stay relatively bright and energetic. It’s much more George Miller than Cormac McCarthy.

Release Dates

We have received updates regarding a few release dates:

  • New York 1901: There was a small delay and the game will now be released the week after the Essen show (12/10)
  • Waste Knights: This interesting looking game will arrive earlier than expected and should be here the week after the show
  • T.I.M.E. Stories: This game is very high on my Essen watch list. It’s not available in the shop yet, because we don’t have a confirmed price. But I was told that the game is already on it’s way to the UK and should be here within 1-2 weeks.

Essen Preview: New additions

I’ve added a few very interesting games to our Essen preview:

  • Between Two Cities: The new tile-drafting game by Stonemaier Games
  • Raid & Trade:  post apocalyptic resource management game from Mage Company (12 Realms)
  • Res Publica 2230 AD: The return of the classic card game designed by R. Knizia with a new theme
  • Waste Knights: a post-apocalyptic game of adventure and combat on the ruins of Australia by new publisher Badger’s Nest
