The Essen section of our website has been online for a few weeks now, but just in the last few days, I managed to really start looking into the Essen releases for this year. As a result, the Essen preview is growing and includes now 79 games/expansions. New additions are:
As in the last couple of years, we won’t go to Essen to collect games. But the Essen preview shows all the games that will get presented at Essen and which we will be able to get thanks to our network of suppliers. Some of the games have already been released, some are on the way to us and will be available before Essen but most games will get available sometime between the end of the Essen show and Christmas.
We are heading into the busy part of the year: A lot of interesting pre-orders are suddenly appearing. As always we are trying our best to make most of them available for you and have already started to upload quite a few new interesting games.
But this is not the end: For the beginning of next week,we are expecting a restock of Die Quacksalber von Quedlinburg, one of our bestsellers at the UK Games Expo and my favourite game at the moment.
And more good news: Early next week we are also receiving a small delivery of Raids, which was a pre-release from iello at the UK Games Expo and won’t be anywhere else in Europe available before August.
Indian Summer, the new game from Uwe Rosenberg, has arrived and is now in stock. The game is a sequel to last year’s hit Cottage Garden.
Indian Summer is the second part of Uwe Rosenberg’s puzzle trilogy following 2016’s Cottage Garden, and this game is firmly geared towards experienced players. At the heart of the game are puzzle tiles with holes that are placed on individual forest boards to cover up treasures. When players get their hands on these, they gain more options and an edge over their opponents. All that counts in the end is to be the first to cover your forest floor completely with leaves.
If you want to know more about the game, here is the review from Tom Vasel:
Our Essen preview list is growing and already includes 47 games. More will follow in the next few days and in the weeks after the show, but this year it is quite hard to get useful details about the new releases before the show.
But here are the games I’ve added in the last few days:
