Restoration Games is known for reviving classic games. Their newest project is Unmatched, based on Star Wars: Epic Duels.
Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players. Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you’ve mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.

The game is expected to get released sometime in August. If you would like to know more about the game, the Watch it played-video is already available:
Restoration Games has announced a partnership with Mondo to publish Unmatched, a new game series based Star Wars: Epic Duels (2002) and designed by Rob Daviau, JR Honeycutt, and Justin D. Jacobson.
Unmatched is a miniatures dueling game featuring fighters of all kinds – from the page to the screen to the stuff of legends. Each hero has a unique deck of cards that fits their fighting style. You can mix and match fighters from any Unmatched set. But remember, in the end, there can only be one winner.
We are back from the Tabletop Gaming Live show in London. Today’s tasks are:
unloading the van
put the remaining stock back in our storeroom and update the online stock
sort through the bookkeeping for the weekend
Once all this is done we will activate the checkout for the online shop again.
Tomorrow we will get our usual delivery of new UK releases. This week it is a big one including the following games and expansions:
Welcome To Your Perfect Home
Renegade Booster Pack: Fire & Chaos
The Lady and the Tiger
Heroes of the Pacific
Heroes of the Nam
Heroes of the Motherland
Day of Heroes
The Lost Expedition: Fountain of Youth and Other Adventures
Dinosaur Tea Party
Some of these games are not online yet, but we will try our best to add them to the website tomorrow morning before the delivery arrives. Once the delivery has arrived, we will check everything and start sending out the payment requests for all pre-orders (please accept our apologies that this is happening a day later than usual this week). Pre-orders will start shipping Wednesday morning and once all pre-orders have left the shop we will add the remaining stock to the website.
Once this week is done and everything is back to normal we will turn our focus back to our Essen preparations and will add more pre-orders to our Essen section on the website. If you have spotted something interesting and you are not sure if we will get it, just send us a short message and we will see what we can do for you!
It’s a great time of the year for board game fans: We still get a flood of games that have been presented at GenCon but haven’t made their way to Europe yet and we are starting to see the first Essen announcements popping up.
We have added a few new games to our pre-order section, here are a few highlights:
There’s just so much to do here at Fireball Island. Bask in the glow of the fireballs on a quaint jog along Blister Run. Build domineering sandcastles on Skeleton Head Beach. Enjoy the exotic wildlife along Viper Pass. Or simply marvel at the radiant views from Vul-Kar Point. We look forward to your visit soon! We wish you were here. No really, please! RESCUE US!
Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar is our restoration of the original Fireball Island. We are building upon the excitement of the game you fondly remember, improving the gameplay to the standards and demands of the modern day gamer.
The game will be launching as a Kickstarter project and will hopefully get a retail release once the Kickstarter has been fulfilled.
