UK Games Expo Bestsellers

Last weekend was the UK Games Expo at the NEC in Birmingham. Since we came back, I’ve been asked a lot about the hot games of the show. So here is a quick look at our bestsellers:

KeyForge Box Cover
  1. KeyForge: Call of the Archons – Decks & Starter Sets
  2. Wingspan
  3. Foothills
  4. Doppelt so clever (English Edition)
  5. Die Tavernen im Tiefen Thal

  7. Star Wars: Outer Rim
  8. The Quacks of Quedlinburg

Not surprisingly the hottest games were the ones that got released at the show and haven’t been available before like the new KeyForge set or Foothills. Wingspan also flew from the shelves and Wolfgang Warsch dominated the Top 10 with his latest four games.

Space Cowboys restarts TIME Stories

Eric Martin (BGG News) talked to Space Cowboys at the Nuremberg Toy Fair and the most interesting news they had for him was about the reboot of TIME Stories in Q3/Q4 of 2019:

TIME Stories base game

First, no base game will exist for what’s been re-dubbed TIME Stories Revolution. Each scenario will be a standalone item that can be played in any order relative to other titles in the “blue cycle”. Says Doucet, instead of starting each scenario in the time agents’ base with Bob scowling and sniping at you while giving you an info dump, you’ll jump straight into the scenario. While the “white cycle” tended to focus on items — as indicated by the cover of each scenario in it — the “blue cycle” will focus on characters, and the covers of these scenarios, such as that of TIME Stories Revolution: A Midsummer Night at right, will reflect that.

(BGG News)

The new cycle will start with two new scenarios (A Midsummer Night and The Hadal Project) in Q3/Q4 (I assume both will get released at GenCon in the US and at Essen in Europe).

New releases and restocks (21/01/19)

And on Thursday we will see the release of Resident Evil 2: The Board Game.

Release date updates

We have done a bit of research today to look which games will be available before Christmas. So far we have no new details about pre-Christmas releases, but we unfortunately found a few games that definitely won’t make it before Christmas:

  • Reykholt
  • Aeon’s End Legacy
  • Unlock! Exotic Adventures
  • Victorian Masterminds
  • Duelosaur Island
  • Dinosaur Island Expansion

All these games are now pushed back to January.

We also got an update regarding the Gloomhaven reprint and it doesn’t sound good: it also has been moved back (again) and now will arrive in the UK in January.

I’m very sorry for these constant delays. Hopefully we will have better news soon!

Week 38 releases are here

It’s Tuesday – arrival day for the new UK releases. This week we have received ten new ones:
