Description

In the early days of the coronavirus, a time of self-isolation for many people, Jamey decided to create an infinitely scaling roll-and-write game to teach and play with people around the world via Facebook Live.

In Rolling Realms (designed by Jamey Stegmaier), players compete to earn the most stars in a series of minigames over 3 rounds. This is a roll-and-write game, meaning that players will write on the game components using dry-erase markers.

Each turn, one player rolls 2 dice, and all players use the dice results on their realm cards to generate resources and earn stars. After 3 rounds, the player with the most stars wins in Rolling Realms!

(This would be more like a 3.5/5 or 7/10) I like Rolling Realms a lot more than I thought I would. The last few releases have been more miss than hit for me, but this is a winner.

This is a collection of 11 mini games that are representations of Stonemaier’s catalog of games. They all remind you of the game they are based on in clever ways. You use nine of the mini games each game with each player having a set of 11 dry wipe cards representing the games. Each round you choose or deal 3 and then use the dice rolls to fill in you cards or realms. There is a number of resources you can collect and spend to give you special rule breaking powers, and you may as well as each round you take your score and erase any left over resources.

There is a lot of variety here and I can imagine future promos being included in future Stonemaier titles. A lot to like here!
