Maia Strongheart stands alone against the world. A cabal of conspirators has framed her for the death of her own mother, the Sun Queen, and they intend to usurp the throne from her family. Proving Grounds is a real-time solitaire dice game that merges narrative and gameplay in a brand-new way. In this box, you will find a novella, "Only the Strongest Has the Heart of a Wizened Queen", written by Monica Valentinelli. This sweeping story sets the stage for the events of the game. Read the story of Maia Strongheart as she fights to ascend to the Sun Throne, then recreate her extraordinary battle!

Proving Grounds has a training game and six different gameplay modules. Once you've learned the basics, add a single module or mix and match to your tastes. If you're feeling truly adventurous, put them all together for a true test of your gladiatorial combat skills!

Faster shipping options can be purchased at the checkout - Royal Mail Tracked 24 is available, as is Royal Mail Next Working Day by 1pm.

Germany Orders

We are now charging Tax and Duty at checkout for orders to Germany. This means that there are no hidden costs to pay before you receive your order. This has taken effect from 16th July 2026.

Shipping charges have been improved and can be found at checkout once you have items in your basket.

EU Orders/Rest of World Orders

Shipping costs are calculated at the checkout.

We no longer charge VAT (sales tax) for orders outside the UK (except in Germany). You may be charged your local sales tax on entry to your country and could be charged duty on products manufactured outside the EU and UK.

We aim to ship all orders placed before 3pm GMT within 1-2 working days. The default shipping method is 'Standard Delivery'. This is a reliable airmail service with no tracking. Transit times for non-UK orders can be very unpredictable. Royal Mail state to aim to deliver these parcels in 3-5 working days but it can take a lot longer.

If you refuse to pay Custom Duties and Tax if required by your country's government, the parcel will be returned to us. Please note, any charges incurred by Meeples Corner for the return of the parcel will be subtracted from the total refund amount.
