Stories tell of the deserted Spectral Manor springing to life when the clock strikes twelve on a Crimson Moon — an event that happens once in a blue moon, no more than once every hundred years. That night, and that night, some rooms reveal huge treasures giving unbelievable riches to the gutsy folks who find and grab them. But people who step into this house do so at their own risk, as some rooms wake up ghosts and curses that snatch anyone foolish enough to walk in. Word on the street says that on Crimson Moon night, you can spot glyphs and sigils inside the manor; these marks give tips and hints — showing both where you can dig up treasures and where spooky traps are waiting to spring.
In Spectral, players guide rival groups of treasure seekers. These groups enter the Spectral Manor when the Crimson Moon rises and rush to find and claim treasure spots before midnight strikes. As they uncover and interpret the glyphs, they can steer clear of rooms where demons sleep unnoticed and keep this info from their competitors. At the same time, manor areas that promise the most loot will see different clans fighting over the space. Through logic, offers, wagers, and trickery, players will discover and use the hidden secrets. The game ends when a player has set down all their treasure hunters or if every player passes in a row.
The group that grabs the most loot while steering clear of hexed chambers will emerge as the winners.
