Nestled within the tropical rainforest west of Everdell Valley sits Emerland, a lively nation celebrated for its creative and melodic heritage, and for its wealth of natural treasures, including precious stones extracted from numerous subterranean caves. Small creatures inhabiting this region - predominantly bugs - are meticulous and resourceful Helpers, frequently aiding larger creatures in their labour and in enhancing or beautifying their settlements and dwellings.
The rainforests are expansive and thick, and journeys into the distant territories of the nation are frequently undertaken. A cryptic civilisation once resided here, long vanished from records, but archaeological findings are starting to illuminate the ancient peoples.
In Emerland, you dispatch creature Workers to different locations on the board to collect resources. You utilise these resources to play cards face-up before you, constructing your rainforest settlement and assisting you to accumulate points. Each turn, you select one of 6 available actions: Place a Worker (with or without Helpers), Place a Helper, Play a Card, Use an Artisan Card, Excavate with your Archaeologist or Prepare for Season.
The game concludes when all players have arrived at the end of Spring and cannot perform any further actions. The player with the highest points wins.
