In Kingdomino, you play as a Lord striving to enlarge your realm by discovering fresh territories. You must survey various landscapes, from wheat fields to waterways and mountains, whilst vying with rival monarchs to claim the most desirable ones first.
The gameplay centres on dual-sectioned tiles, just like Dominoes. During each round, players choose a new domino to attach to their existing territory, ensuring at least one side matches an adjacent terrain type already present. Selection order for subsequent rounds is determined by previously chosen tiles, with more valuable tiles resulting in later picking positions. The match concludes when players have either completed or failed to construct a 5x5 territory, with scoring based on connected tiles and precious crown symbols.
