Description
“Dinosaurs eat man… Woman inherits the earth.” The greatest predator the world has ever known is closing in on the tenacious Dr. Sattler. Who has the slightest idea what to expect?
In Unmatched Jurassic Park – Dr. Sattler vs. T. Rex (designed by Rob Daviau, Justin D. Jacobson), the massive T rex unleashes fearsome attacks and seems unstoppable while Dr. Sattler makes full use of her surroundings and the aid of Dr. Ian Malcolm and his chaos theory. Who will become extinct first?
Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature fighting game for two or four players. Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and legend. Tactical movement and no-luck combat resolution create a unique play experience that rewards expertise, but just when you’ve mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.

Geoff Byers –
Dr. Sattler is probably the more satisfying of the two to play, as difficult as that might be to believe. She has some interesting cards, and Ian Malcolm as her sidekick (with correspondingly excellent card art). Her insight mechanic is quite clever, and all her cards are thematic. Stacked up against the T-Rex with 27 health, however, that doesn’t really cut it, so the T-Rex has a bunch of cards that involve damaging itself. That’s a bit of a let-down, and while I understand why the design is that way, I can’t help but feel there was a different solution to the problem of how does one woman and a mathematician combat a formidable dinosaur.
