Fate Condensed is an updated, streamlined, 50-pages-or-less version ofFate Core System . It's completely stand-alone and features new refinements to the Fate Core engine that'll have it running better than ever. Call it Fate 4.5, if you like—it covers all the ground (and uses the same skills) as Fate Core, in about a sixth the size.
You can useFate Condensed (FCon ) to drive any game, any scenario, with proactive, capable player-characters leading dramatic lives. The easy-to-digest rules are presented here with a minimum of verbiage, letting you get to the table and roll the dice, fast.
Fate veterans will appreciate the refinements and additions to the Fate Core engine, including:
  • A shift to one-point stress boxes to help reduce player confusion.
  • The use of “Balsera Style” initiative (also known as “elective action order” or “popcorn initiative”) as the default rather than using skills to determine turn order.
  • Improvements to advancement, eliminating significant milestones and finessing major milestones to compensate.
  • Changing active opposition so it's no longer separate from the defend action.
  • Eight pages of optional rules to make building your variant of choice easy, including Dresden Files Accelerated scale rules, extreme consequences, countdowns, and a variety of ways to make your Big Bads bigger and badder.

These prices are subject to change, the final charges will be visible in the checkout before you finalise your order. We aim to ship all orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday, within 24 hours. Our standard shipping method for the UK is Royal Mail Tracked 48.

Faster shipping options can be purchased at the checkout - Royal Mail Tracked 24 is available, as is Royal Mail Next Working Day by 1pm.

EU Orders/Rest of World Orders

Shipping costs are calculated at the checkout.

We no longer charge VAT (sales tax) for orders outside the UK. You will be charged your local sales tax on entry to your country and could be charged duty on products manufactured outside the EU and UK.

We aim to ship all orders placed before 3pm GMT within 24 hours. The default shipping method is 'Standard Delivery'. This is a reliable airmail service with no tracking. Transit times for non-UK orders can be very unpredictable. Royal Mail state to aim to deliver these parcels in 3-5 working days but it can take a lot longer.

If you refuse to pay Custom Duties and Tax if required by your country's government, the parcel will be returned to us. Please note, any charges incurred by Meeples Corner for the return of the parcel will be subtracted from the total refund amount.
