Star Trek: Away Missions is a new miniatures board game for two players (four players with a second copy of the game) set in the Star Trek universe. The game is scheduled to release in August 2023 and is now available for pre-order.

In Star Trek: Away Missions, players take control of an away team from one of four factions: the Federation, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, or the Borg Collective. Each away team consists of four miniatures, each with their own unique abilities. Players must use their away teams to complete missions, explore new worlds, and battle their opponents.

The game is played over three rounds, with each round consisting of a planning phase and an action phase. During the planning phase, players choose which of their miniatures to activate and what actions they will take. During the action phase, players execute those actions, which can include moving their miniatures, attacking their opponents, or completing missions.

The first player to score 15 points wins the game. Points can be scored by completing missions, defeating enemy miniatures, or controlling objectives.

In addition to the core set, Gale Force Nine will also be releasing two expansions for Star Trek: Away Missions. The first expansion, Gowron’s Honor Guard, adds four new Klingon miniatures to the game. The second expansion, Sela’s Infiltrators, adds four new Romulan miniatures to the game.

Both expansions are also scheduled to release in August 2023.
