It’s nearly time for this year’s biggest board game event: on Thursday the Spiel 2023 starts in Essen. And just in time, the deliveries of new releases are starting to pick up. For this week we are expecting 10 new games, most of which will be released on Thursday, the opening day of the Spiel.
The confirmed games are:
- The Artemis Odyssey by Bruno Faidutti and Serge Laget
- Bitoku: Resutoran – three expansion modules for Bitoku
- Wiz-War: the 9th edition of the classic game
- LotR: Adventure to Mount Doom – a new co-op dice game designed by Michael Rieneck (Cuba, Merlin)
- Lords of Ragnarok – the follow-up to Lords of Hellas from Awaken Realms
- Waterfall Park – the remake of the classic Chinatown with a new family-friendly theme
- Point City is a card-drafting, engine-building game with more than 150 unique building cards
- My Island: after building your city and following its development through time you are now building a whole island.
- White Castle: Like Red Cathedral another big game in a small box from Devir
- The Search for Lost Species: search for the lost species in a deduction game followup to the Search for Planet X!
